Jubilee Wharf
[Branding & Identity]
The brief was to re-brand Jubilee Wharf. Jubilee Wharf is a multipurpose site, composed of two buildings housing creative studios, workshops, residential flats, Jumblies Nursery, offices for community organisations, the ZedShed public hall and Miss Peapod’s Kitchen Cafe. The two buildings enclose a courtyard protected from the coastal wind and creating the effect of a public promenade along the Penryn quayside. The site is designed to be sustainable so it can be responsible for its own energy demands.
I aimed to create a consistent identity which reflected the creativity, community spirit and sustainability of Jubilee Wharf, which I hoped would create a friendly and welcoming image. The three circles in the logo represent - creativity, sustainable & community, with the negative of the logo representing a wind turbine. The typographic logo reflects the interesting shapes of the building. (2007) |
